H-FARM College and Friends of Bata: cultivating the new generations of entrepreneurs

We are happy to announce a groundbreaking, new partnership with Friends of Bata, the social impact platform of Triple B whose mission is to empower the younger generations of entrepreneurs.

This partnership marks a pivotal step forward in our mission to equip students with the skills, knowledge, network and mindset to navigate today and tomorrow’s world, leveraging technology progress for positive social and economic impact: in an age where technological advancements and market dynamics evolve at breakneck speed, fostering youths’ entrepreneurial mindset is more essential than ever. Our collaboration with Friends of Bata aims to combine the strengths of both our organizations to create meaningful educational experiences.

Over the past few days, Friends of Bata sponsored the 2024 edition of Lumina Summer School, a special summer program that took place at H-FARM College from June 24-28, 2024. Besides providing scholarships for the participants, Friends of Bata took an active part in the teaching process and the learning experience as a whole, giving students a hands-on opportunity to apply their learning to real-world scenarios. In particular, they presented a compelling case study titled “Time Tennis: Rethinking Tennis for the Modern Age” showcasing a groundbreaking initiative set to revolutionise the world of tennis.

In the frame of this partnership, Friends of Bata will also sponsor our Bachelor’s Degree in Business Creation and Entrepreneurship, starting in September 2024. Together we will develop and implement entrepreneurship activities relying on their expertise and network to equip our students with key business skills. This 3-year degree, coordinated by H-FARM professor and Entrepreneurship & Startup Center Director Timothy O’Connell, prepares students to run their own startup or take up professional roles linked to business development, innovation and creativity in a wide variety of organisations. It aims at giving students a solid foundation in the business and management disciplines all set within the context of the digital world that has become our new normal.

The partnership includes the dissemination of case studies as practical learning tools, providing real-world insights into successful entrepreneurial ventures.

At H-FARM College we are always scouting for companies who believe and practice entrepreneurship in the most innovative and cutting edge ways. We trust that having Friends of Bata among our Learning Partners has a unique value, in paving the way to fuel innovation and to shape the entrepreneurial mindset of our students and partners, who can both benefit of H-FARM College ecosystem” underlines Silvia Dell’Acqua, Head of International and Corporate Relations at H-FARM College.

As we embark on this exciting journey with Friends of Bata, we are confident that our combined efforts will create a vibrant ecosystem for young entrepreneurs, preparing them to lead and innovate in an increasingly complex world.
