Lumina Summer School: what a journey…!
From June 24 to 28, the 2024 edition of Lumina Summer School took place at H-FARM College.
As this year’s title said – “Managing business projects in fast-changing competitive landscapes: Transforming challenges into opportunities” – it was a unique learning experience focusing on business projects as the primary means by which companies evolve and transform in order to preserve or increase their competitiveness.
Lumina Summer School – Initiative linked to H-FARM College’s student consulting agency Lumina – is a real journey that helps young students learn how to manage all aspects of a business project, including human relationships, uncertainty and complexity, communication and storytelling, as well as the conscious use of the most innovative frameworks and tools.
This edition was made possible thanks to the support of nine outstanding sponsoring companies: Carrera, La Romana, Friends of Bata, Generali, KPMG, BNL – BNP Paribas, Bosch, Johnson & Johnson and Aruba. Besides providing scholarships for the participants, the partners took an active part in the teaching process and the learning experience as a whole, providing invaluable insights into real business cases and meeting the students on dedicated networking sessions.
Every day, the 19 participants worked side by side with H-FARM College faculty – represented here by professors Raffaele Testorelli and Massimiliano Fusari – professionals and expert managers who brought an extraordinary wealth of ideas and experiences from different industrial sectors: insurance, management consultancy, entrepreneurship and education, banking, engineering and technology, fashion, pharma, food and IT services.
Lumina Summer School ended with a challenge: the students worked in teams on a special business project with the goal of designing and launching a new business in the space-economy sector, which is currently worth around 469 billion euros globally and is expected to grow at double-digit rates over the next few decades.
