H-FARM Education won the Erasmus+ call with the EXPAND project
Thanks to the European project EXPAND we won the Erasmus+ 2020 call for Strategic Partnerships KA2 (Knowledge Alliances 2).
Erasmus+ is the EU Programme in the fields of education, training, youth and sport. Education, training, youth, and sport can make a major contribution to help tackle socio-economic changes, the key challenges that Europe will be facing until the end of the decade and to support the implementation of the European policy agenda for growth, jobs, equity and social inclusion.
Thanks to the European project EXPAND, this year we have been awarded the Erasmus+ call for proposals.
Expand will develop a toolbox for implementing ‘Challenge Based Idea Accelerators’.
The toolbox is aimed at higher education teaching staff and will enable a practical new method to be implemented serving civic engagement and developing new problem solving entrepreneurial skills in students.
The proposed project builds on the creativity of students combined with design thinking and challenge-based education to tackle societal challenges, with a focus on homelessness in the pilot programme.
We call out for students, innovators, creative thinkers, tech people and the higher education world, in particular, to join forces and bring heavyweight social challenges in the spotlight.
Our project aims to forge unlikely alliances across a wide spectrum of partners to define a viable, replicable and scalable methodology for tackling systemic societal problems.
