AI Startup Bootcamp with Lynn University

From May 17 to 25, 2025, H-FARM College welcomed a group of 10 students from Lynn University for an immersive journey into the world of artificial intelligence and startup innovation. A week-long program that combined structured learning, hands-on experience, and cultural discovery — all within the vibrant ecosystem of H-FARM Campus.
The AI Startup Bootcamp was designed to offer aspiring founders the tools, mindset, and confidence to turn AI-powered ideas into impactful business solutions. Developed in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship and Start Up Center and H-FARM AI experts, the bootcamp gave students the opportunity to explore the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship, and real-world application.
Over five intensive days, students were challenged to develop and pitch an AI-driven business idea. Divided into three teams and supported by mentors, they built demos of:
- a smart calendar management app,
- a medical diagnosis support tool,
- an AI-powered desktop file search assistant.
Workshops covered the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and idea envisioning, business modeling, AI for product design and UX, and coding and prototyping, giving participants a 360-degree perspective on what it takes to launch a tech startup today. A final review and pitch practice session helped refine each team’s project before the official pitch round, where standout ideas were recognized with awards.
The academic component was enriched by a special guest lecture open to all H-FARM College students: Professor Joseph Ingles from Lynn University explored the critical role of Explainable AI (XAI), offering insights into tools like SHAP and LIME and how they’re reshaping trust and transparency in machine learning systems.
Beyond the classroom, the bootcamp embraced H-FARM College’s spirit of community. Students enjoyed a Breakfast Connect with their Italian peers, a beach volleyball tournament, and lively Games and Pizza Night on campus.
A highlight of the experience was the exclusive visit to Luxottica’s headquarters in Agordo. Students had the opportunity to attend a company presentation, explore the prototyping department, and gain first-hand exposure to one of the most iconic global eyewear companies.
The AI Startup Bootcamp with Lynn University is part of a broader program of immersive projects with international universities that, based on H-FARM’s areas of expertise — including entrepreneurship, technology, and digital transformation — are developed across five verticals: Italian entrepreneurship, arts & culture, fashion, product design, and food & wine.
