From the XIII Italy-China Week to a new international academic alliance
H-FARM takes a significant step forward in global higher education by signing a strategic quadrilateral agreement during the XIII Italy-China Week of Science, Technology, and Innovation, held between Naples and Venice from November 26 to 28, 2024.
The agreement, involving Sichuan University of Culture and Arts, the National Culture and Technology Innovation Service Alliance, and Beijing Pu Hua Huan Xin Consulting Management Co., is part of the bilateral program of scientific and technological cooperation between Italy and China, promoted by the respective Ministries of Universities and Research.
This collaboration aims to strengthen ties between the two countries through joint academic programs and innovation-focused events. It is an ambitious accord designed to promote international exchanges, opening new opportunities for students from both nations. The goal is to build a university education model that transcends traditional boundaries through Sino-Italian joint training programs in both China and Italy. Students will access high-quality courses abroad, benefitting from a truly international educational experience with qualifications recognized in both countries.
This extraordinary opportunity allows young talents to enrich their educational paths, engage directly with diverse academic contexts, develop transversal skills, and integrate into an international network of excellence.
Antonella Sannella, Executive Director of H-FARM College, enthusiastically highlights this new international outlook: “H-FARM, through its university-level educational institute, H-FARM College, offers degree programs that go beyond traditional learning. We provide a global educational ecosystem where students not only gain academic skills but also develop a true ‘global mindset’ on a campus that is a microcosm of diversity, with many nationalities meeting, interacting, and growing together every day. This agreement embodies our vision: creating cutting-edge academic programs that build bridges between ancient cultures, open new horizons, and shape young talents ready to lead in an increasingly interconnected world.”
As part of the recently signed quadrilateral agreement, a Chinese delegation visited the H-FARM Campus on November 28, 2024. Leading the visit were key figures from the academic and innovation sectors, including Gong Zhenxu, President of Sichuan University of Culture and Arts; Chai Yueting, President of the China Culture and Technology Innovation Service Alliance; and Liu Bing, Secretary General.
The meeting offered an extraordinary opportunity for dialogue and in-depth exchange, enabling institutional representatives to recognize the complementary nature of existing academic approaches and methodologies and to explore the concrete potential of the newly signed agreement. Discussions addressed strategic aspects of Sino-Italian collaboration in higher education, strengthening institutional ties and laying a solid foundation for future academic and cultural partnerships.
The visit underscored the importance of a multilateral approach to educational innovation, with a particular focus on the exchange of expertise and the sharing of cutting-edge learning experiences.
