H-FARM College and University of Chichester celebrate the Class of 2024

Today marks a monumental moment for H-FARM College as students from Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in partnership with the University of Chichester don their caps and gowns to celebrate Graduation Day. This event not only honors academic achievement but also reflects on the transformative journey that brought each graduate to this milestone.

The University of Chichester, known for its student-centered approach and strong sense of community, has been an integral partner in shaping the educational experiences at H-FARM College. With a history dating back to 1839, the university continues to inspire innovation and academic rigor, creating a foundation for students to thrive.

The ceremony began with a powerful speech from Matthew Cooper, Dean of Faculty, who reflected on the graduates’ journey and offered words of encouragement for the future. “Today marks a significant milestone in your life,” he noted, highlighting the challenges and invaluable lessons that shaped their academic experience.

Looking ahead, Cooper emphasized the importance of embracing the spirit of entrepreneurship—not just in starting businesses but in approaching work with innovation, creativity, and problem-solving. “The world you’re entering is full of challenges but also great opportunities, a world that rewards resilience and the courage to take risks. Dare to think outside the box, question the status quo, and seek new ways of doing things,” he urged. He also reminded graduates that failure is not an endpoint but a stepping stone to success, encouraging them to boldly face the future with a mindset of growth and discovery.

Antonello Barbaro, CEO of H-FARM Education, shared heartfelt advice with the graduates, urging them to take charge of their futures: “The degree you are about to hold in your hands is not just a piece of paper; it’s a key to unlock countless opportunities in your life. Be the owner of your choices, the driver of your journey, and surround yourself with people who uplift you.”

He encouraged the graduates to embrace their authentic selves in a world often filled with comparisons and expectations. “Dare to be yourself. Don’t try to fit into someone else’s shoes or feign interests that don’t ignite your passion. Keep searching for what sets your soul on fire,” he added, inspiring them to pursue their dreams with courage and authenticity.

The ceremony also featured an inspiring talk by Antonina Pereira, Director at the Institute of Psychology, Business, and Human Sciences at the University of Chichester. She began by congratulating the graduates, encouraging them to focus on the possibilities ahead rather than the challenges. “Your future starts today, and the world is your oyster,” she remarked.

Pereira emphasized that success comes in many forms and celebrated the unique achievements of the graduates. She also highlighted the value of the partnership between the University of Chichester and H-FARM College, noting that earning a degree from a UK institution will open countless doors and opportunities for their future.

The program coordinators, professors Raffaele Testorelli, Luciano Comacchio, and Massimiliano Fusari, then took to the stage to honor outstanding students. The top achievers were awarded access to a master’s course module as a prize for their exceptional performance.

Two student representatives, Alessia Giacomelli (BSc) and Francesco Mazza (MSc), shared moving speeches that reflected on their unique paths at H-FARM College.
