Breast Cancer Academy
We developed a growth strategy for the National Academy of Medicine's platform.
Scientific research and tech advances have led to a rapid evolution of knowledge related to breast cancer. In this scenario, the National Academy of Medicine, thanks to the contribution of Novartis, chose us to improve the accessibility and usability of its Breast Cancer Academy platform.
Born in 2017 from the idea of Lucia Del Mastro, Michelino De Laurentiis, Filippo Montemurro and Fabio Puglisi, Breast Cancer Academy collects and shares up-to-date information curated by oncology specialists. It's addressed both to doctors, through scientific updates and critical analysis, and patients, through information written in a way that everyone can understand.
Our contribution focused on improving the work methodology and the accessibility of contents. Thanks to the analysis of trends in platforms for sharing and creating digital content, we determined the key role played by images, the influence of social media on the fruition of content, the importance of being a point of reference and transparency.
After studying the current scenario of online editorial products and scientific publications, we designed an immersive workshop to support the Academy in identifying future strategies. Thanks to this multidisciplinary activity, in 2020 a renewed platform will be presented.
