Ageas Portugal Group, open call for innovative startups

Our partnership and open innovation program aims to find the most innovative startups to be integrated into the Group.

Innovation, digital culture and new business opportunities: this is the shared vision of the future that has consolidated our collaboration with Ageas Portugal, part of the Group Ageas, a leader in the insurance sector and present in 14 countries.

The goal of this open innovation development project is to identify and develop cutting-edge solutions to meet the emerging needs of the users, predict the future needs of the market and improve the quality of lives.

Startups can apply here by July 20, 2020. The areas of interest are:

• tech for insurance – solutions that will strengthen the efficiency, safety and speed of the Group's internal processes, such as predictive analysis, fraud detection, payment services and the improvement of the customer experience in physical places;
• future of healthcare – technologies that address modern healthcare needs such as prevention, symptom checking and treatment adherence, trustful information sharing tools, and mental and reproductive health problems;
• happy human – new technologies and business models that support people in their search for happiness, to manage stress, simplify the lives of both urban citizens and frequent travellers, to achieve a balance between work and private life, to better manage savings and investments and to encourage sustainable behaviour that improves the quality of life.

The 4-month program is expected to start in October. The selected startups will be helped fine tune their solutions and will be supported both economically and logistically.

After the initial week, there will be 4 sprint sessions – divided into a co-design week (in Lisbon or online) and 2 weeks of KPI development and measurement. At the end of the program, there will be a Demo Day with stakeholders.
