Agritech, climate transition and sustainability: applications open for the 2024 edition of MAGICA Summer School
As part of MAGICA – Horizon Europe Coordination and Supporting Action financed by the HORIZON-CL5-2021-D1-01 call, the European Union is making 20 scholarships available to participate in the MAGICA Summer School from 1 to 5 July 2024.
The call is open to all students aged between 18 and 24 who want to learn more about climate change by studying in one of the most important innovation platforms in Europe, the H-FARM Campus.
Led by experts, participants will delve into how agriculture is affected by climate change and explore the role of new technologies in global development.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in an acceleration program to transform their ideas into real climate-focused entrepreneurial projects which will then be presented to a jury of investors and startup founders. They will also be able to access an innovative hydroponic laboratory and apply design thinking techniques to develop their ideas.
The lessons will take place on the H-FARM Campus, a unique place on the outskirts of Venice where every day students, experts, entrepreneurs and innovators meet and live in close contact. The Campus is self-sufficient for 85% of its energy needs and the use of green means of transport is strongly encouraged throughout the area.
Participants who want to enroll in MAGICA Summer School must apply no later than May 31, 2024.
