Alumni Day: reconnecting where it all began
On Saturday, May 9, H-FARM College hosted Alumni Day, a moment dedicated to reconnecting, strengthening relationships, and sharing experiences in the place where many personal and professional journeys first began.
With a community of over 900 Alumni, H-FARM College continues to nurture a bond that goes beyond the academic path: a living network of people, skills, and relationships that keeps growing over time, driven by the desire to keep exchanging ideas, learning, and creating new opportunities together.
The day opened with a welcome moment and institutional greetings from Riccardo Donadon, Founder of H-FARM, and Antonella Sannella, Managing Director of H-FARM College, who reflected on the evolution of the Campus, the achievements of the College in recent years, and its future outlook.
It was an opportunity to meet again, but also to reflect on how a community can continue to generate value over time.
In this spirit, the workshop “Becoming Mentors: guiding others in growth” was led by Annalisa Fabbri and Fabio Salvadori, coaches and mentors already involved in the Personal Development Program for first- and second-year H-FARM College students.
The session began with an ice-breaking activity designed to encourage dialogue and foster new connections among Alumni, before moving into a deeper exploration of mentoring as a relationship built on mutual growth. The workshop presented mentoring as an inclusive, two-way partnership grounded in shared learning and reciprocal development — a journey in which both mentor and mentee have the opportunity to expand perspectives, skills, and impact.
Through hands-on discussion and practical tools, participants reflected on the foundations of an effective mentoring relationship — from building trust to defining shared goals — as well as on the different stages that shape a meaningful mentoring journey over time.
A clear message emerged throughout the session: supporting others in their growth is also a powerful driver of personal and professional development, as well as a key element in building more collaborative communities that are open to exchange and innovation.
The day concluded with a networking moment, offering Alumni the opportunity to reconnect, share ideas, and imagine new ways to further strengthen the H-FARM College community.
The Alumni Day took place within the H-FARM Campus on a particularly dynamic day for the wider community: the Campus was also hosting one of the stops of FutureShots, H-FARM’s innovation festival dedicated this year to “Embodied AI”, exploring the evolution of robots and intelligent systems capable of seeing, learning, moving, and making decisions, reshaping the way we work and interact with the world.
