Mara Pistellato

Mara Pistellato earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2020 from the University of Venice and currently holds a researcher position at the same institution. Her research interests are in the areas of Computer Vision and Machine Learning, with a focus on 3D reconstruction techniques and real-world applications. She is currently interested in neural network-based methods for 3D surface reconstruction and polarimetric imaging, studying deep learning and classical techniques for demosaicing and calibration of microlens-based polarimetric cameras, with the aim of integrating these sensors into a 3D reconstruction framework. This also applies to her active collaboration with CNR-ISMAR, which involves learning and polarimetric techniques for accurate sea surface reconstruction. Finally, she is actively involved in technology transfer: she has participated in several industrial and multidisciplinary projects, such as micrometric measurements of metal gears or deep learning applications for quality inspection.
