Talk and Hackathon with Marcello Ascani

Talk and Hackathon with Marcello Ascani

What a great weekend we spent together!

We started on Friday evening with a super Inspirational Talk: the brilliant content creator, entrepreneur and YouTuber Marcello Ascani took us on a journey through his fast-growing career, enriching the story with some personal anecdotes and great pieces of advice.

On Saturday and Sunday, Marcello led a very special hackathon with H-FARM students.

But…What is a Hackathon?

It’s a creative marathon with a format that promotes discussion, reasoning and team play. Born in the IT sector, today it represents an innovative approach to address new issues and stimulate new solutions by working strictly in teams.

After dividing into groups, the students chose which of the three briefs they wanted to develop:

  • Gen Z Connection & Inclusive Experience Hub“: Design a communications and branding strategy that shows how a company can become the ideal place to work for young talent, highlighting values such as inclusiveness, personalization and innovation.
  • Implement new technologies in a marketing campaign“: Develop an innovative marketing campaign that leverages new technologies to generate authentic engagement and connection with Gen Z, positioning a brand at the center of new trends and generating a significant impact on consumer perception.
  • Content Creation“: Develop tools and platforms that support content creators in generating creative ideas, collaborating effectively and expanding sales and branding strategies, enhancing the creativity, originality and social impact of proposals.

Marathons, as we know, are a race against time. The ten teams worked with maximum effort, but there was no shortage of chatter, games and group dances to divide up, ease tension and regain concentration, even and especially late at night.

On Sunday morning, after an intense pitch session, the jury composed of Marcello Ascani, Marco De Rossi and Lorenzo Congiu, decreed the winner: the “Sballo” team (Arbias Mucka, Filippo Antinucci, Vincenzo Cariello, Alex Steiner, Davide Basile and Andrea Pedalà) with the “Dike” project: a web app which, based on the latest regulations regarding content creation, analyzes the media produced by creators, alerting them to possible transgressions.
